On 4 and 7 February, Vocational Training Team (VTT) of the Global Grant # 25815 sponsored by: Rotary Foundation (TRF),D-6970, Rotary Club of South Jacksonville (D-6970), Fort Mill Rotary Club (D-7750) and the Rotary Club of Copan Ruins (D-4250), Mr. Richard Walker gave training to technical of ADEC in communities of Gracias and Marcala respectively about laboratory analysis that are due to perform at drinking water, VTT donated a portable laboratory to the office of ADEC on Gracias, it wich will provide bacteriological analysis service which will benefit more than 30 water boards distributed in the municipalities of Belen, San Sebastian and San Manuel Colohete, department of Lempira, also they imrroved with new equipment at Laboratory of ADEC in Marcala, which will improve service that currently provides technical assistance to 130 water boards distributed in the municipalities of Marcala, Chinacla, San Jose, Yarula, Santa Elena, Opatoro, Cabañas , and Santa Ana, department of La Paz.

On February 5, Oneida Lara of ADEC and Vocational Training Team (VTT) of the Global Grant # 25815 , sponsored by: Rotary Foundation (TRF), Rotary Club of South Jacksonville (D-6970), Fort Mill Rotary Club (D-7750) and the Rotary Club of Copan Ruins (D-4250), led by Rotarian James Chansler gave two trainings in Good Hygiene Habits in schools in the communities of Santa Cruz and San Manuel Colohete in the department of Lempira, gathering approximately 45 people between mothers and children in every school, they explained how to wash hands properly, the importance of hygiene in the home and personal hygiene, how to avoid diseases by drinking water quality. ADEC and VTT group, gift to children grooming a kit, consisting of a towel, soap, toothpaste and toothbrushes and comb. Also, they gave two microscopes in schools, donated by Esperanza Middle School (Maryland) through the Rotary Club Steve King St. Marys County (D-7620).
On January 14, Elias and Willian ADEC circuit riders installed a tablet feed chlorinator in the community of Las Crucitas in the municipality of Santa Maria in the department of La Paz. Previousily the Water Board had conducted bacteriological water analysis which indicated contamination. With the tablet chlorination system, the 60 families who live there can be certain that the drinking water is safe.
